Welcome to Art by Cheryl. My main body of work consists of abstract landscapes and sky scenes painted on either canvas or paper. Similar colour schemes run throughout my art but each piece is created individually and they are all one of a kind originals.
My inspiration comes mainly from the countryside around my home, in particular the changing colours of the seasons and the effects of the weather on the sky. Another aspect of my work takes the inspiration from nature further, using materials such as bark and leather along with beading to create intricately detailed artwork against an acrylic painted canvas backdrop.
